    Default Kimble Style J #67

    Hi

I have just bought the above by way of a private transaction. I'm in Dublin Ireland. It's a real beauty. I would appreciate any information that anyone in the Kimble community may have on this mandolin. Woods used, tuners, history. etc, etc. It's 2004.

    Thanks in anticipation. Pic attached.

I used to own this mandolin... I purchased it from Andy Marshall about 3 years ago. I believe it has an Engleman spruce top and sugar maple sides and back. It was/is a fantastic sounding and beautifully playing mandolin. And it is stunning to see in person... a real work of luthier art... I've missed it!

That’s three Kimbles I know of on this side of the pond - I own the other two! - anyone else in the UK or Emerald Isle own one?

Yes I would ask Will, I‘m sure he will be happy to help.
