Default Has anyone tried flatwound strings on a Pono octave mandolin?

I'm a big fan of Thomastik flatwound strings. I use them on my mandolins, mandola and even the parlor guitar. So it seems natural that TI strings would be a preference for a Pono M20 short scale octave mandolin. I've found a good price on one.

Has anyone tried TI's on a Pono octave mandolin?

I tried D'Addario flatwounds on my trinity college OM (20" scale), it sounded great with them for me.
Davey Stuart tenor guitar (based on his 18" mandola design).
Eastman MD-604SB with Grover 309 tuners.
Eastwood 4 string electric mandostang, 2x Airline e-mandola (4-string) one strung as an e-OM.
DSP's: Helix HX Stomp, various Zooms.
    Amps: THR-10, Sony XB-20.

Id be interested in this too. I havent found the right string fit for this instrument yet. Mine is the small one as well (21.5).
No matter where I go, there I am...Unless I'm running a little late.
