    Default Vintage Mandolin Headquarters

This weekend I made a deal to buy a Mandolin from The Vintage Mandolin Headquarters. I found the selection to be a bit overwhelming however I spoke to the owner Charles Johnson and found him to be very personable and easy to deal with. I feel I was treated very fairly and so far the transaction has been great. It’s nice to have several on-line dealers that specialize in Mandolins regardless of buying new or pre-owned. Charles seemed like a good guy that’s been enjoyable to do business with. Most vintage pieces are out of my price range, however I thought Charles had some Mandolins that were not overly expensive and were not junk, plus he knows Mandolins.

Charles is great to work with, I've been trading and buying from him for 15 or so years? I've always been treated real well I think. Nice mandolin there a 5000!

I think anyone who has been in business for a decade or more has to be both an astute businessman and a straight shooter. With the Internet one has to develop a good reputation and keep it. He certainly has a nice inventory. Enjoy that 5000.

+1. Got a great guitar from him, very pleasant, a nice, simple transaction. I also bought my Ratliff, not from him, on his recommendation, another great purchase.

I first met Charles at the Philly Guitar show when I lived near there. I've bought 2 mandolins from him. I even made a 6 plus hour treck back to Philly (guitar show) and bought my 2nd from him. Charles is a good guy!
