    Default headstock "G"?

Hello, I came across an old a-style mandolin. On the headstock is just one letter, does anybody know something about? Thanks in advance!

Looks more like an E to me. A photo of the whole instrument might help.

It looks like a cursive E to me, as well. I love the color.

That is indeed a cursive E. It's not all that old, maybe circa 80's-90's. It's was probably imported from Korea or Japan. The initial on the headstock may have been added.
