It is somewhat crudely made and I hope you didn't pay too much for it — but if it has the sound you like, then enjoy!

I can't offer any information on who made the mandolin, but I can say that I LOVE the look of it. As Martin said above, I hope it has a sound that you like, and that you enjoy it . . . because at its basic core, that should be all that really matters.
Good luck in your search for more info.
Definitely interesting looking! I'd love to know the background. Especially based on the headstock, I can almost imagine this being an ambitious high school shop project, lol. Build a book shelf? Heck no, I'm going to make a musical instrument! How does it sound and play?

Did you play it before you bought it? Or did you get it shipped? It looks to be this one listed on reverb for $995

Best,

Im awaiting its arrival, thought I would try to find out something about it, I picked it up to try to learn on. Im hoping it sounds and plays well. It was the one on reverb. I told my wife, Ive either made one of the worst investments in my life, or one of the best, something about its looks just said something to me. Thanks for the responses.
I too hope it plays and sounds good for you. You can tell folks it's a "poor man's Collings", lol!
