    Default Where to find Tenor open CGDA notes on a 6-string

    Please forgive my ignorance. I'm brand new to Tenors. My first Tenor Guitar will hopefully arrive tomorrow. Is a Tenor guitar an octave higher than a standard tuned 6-string? I'm blind and the best way for me to tune is by using audio files for the notes. I am going to record my own audio files to use for tuning my new tenor. If someone is willing to help me map out the notes for both of these tenor tunings on a 6-string acoustic fretboard, I would greatly appreciate it. You could list them as string#/fret#, if you like.
    CGDA:
    C=
    G=
    D=
    A=

    GDAE:
    G=
    D=
    A=
    E=

    I'm also new to tenor guitars but I believe this is correct:

    CGDA:
    C= 3rd fret A string
    G= Open G string
    D= 3rd fret B string
    A= 5th fret E string

    GDAE:
    G= 3rd fret E string
    D= Open D string
    A= 2nd fret G string
    E= Open E string
