Default Fancy bluegrass solo or tune with accessible tab

Can anyone point me to a tasty somewhat difficult bluegrass solo or tune, where the tab is easily available.

I've played Irish trade for years, and a friend of mine played me a Johnny Staat tune, and I thought it might be a fun challenge to try a difficult solo or tune way out of my genre.

    Any come to mind?

I'm not so interested in a book. No chance of a tab existing in the tab library, you may know of? It's really just an experiment.

Hmm, I thought I'd read that the tabs weren't there anymore? A different thread talks about that although I'd have to read through it more carefully to be sure, I just skimmed through it the other day, I only clicked on one of the links (provided by poster Philphool) for the WaybackMachine Internet Archive list of zipped TablEdit tab files and I downloaded all of those but I haven't got around to looking through them yet. The WaybackMachine download did produce zip files though, so that's a good start.

Try Panhandle Rag by Alan Bibey or John Moore. I think they’re challenging, especially at full speed.

The hardest bluegrass tune I know,,to play the solos, and then play the chords and then improvise with confidence is Bobby Osbourne''s "surefire"..

I’m not trying to be flip here but listen to a bunch of tunes and decide what you like, learn it, then make it your own. Sam Bush, Emory Lester, Matt Flinner, so many others all have great takes on these tunes. One tune I really like is Huckleberry Hornpipe done by Tommy Burroughs it’s 3 parts and fast but lots of opportunity for improv. Dan Crary has a good version too but I prefer the mando on Tommy’s version. Have fun!

A fellow member in the newbie section turned me on to Sam Bush's version of Red Wing. The tab was either here or mandozine. It is a lot of fun and and quite a challenge for me.
