Default THE FEARLESS FLYERS /// Daddy, He Got a Cessna (feat. Chris Thile

This is pure insanity, but I like it!

Enjoy! And don’t watch an empty stomach!

    Best,

P.S. I'd find out who makes that electric mandolin and buy all of them cause now they'll go up in value about 20 times... Ha!

It's a seemingly bog-standard Eastwood, though there are a lot of fine accessories on the market to upgrade pick-ups, etc.

Yep, an Eastwood, not to be confused with Eastman. About $400 new retail. NFI.

The closing riff was from a Mozart string quartet. Loved the bass player too. I've been looking for a decent 4 string electric. Eastwood may make a few bucks off that vid. :-)

    Lotta fun.

Not to criticize, but I am the only one who heard intonation problems?

No?, maybe those were fusion notes.......

I did it, ordered an Eastwood mandostang (that's eastwoods 4-string model) off amazon. I can do the setup myself now, after years of practice.

    Well said, sir, well said...

That’s part of what I love and hate about my (even cheaper) Mandobird. When I wanna get distorted nasty it will, and the intonation issues contribute. But, when I wanna play some nice clean Bach, welllllll...Actually, mine’s not too bad; I didn’t have to reset the bridge to get it pretty close...

Joe Cocker played Mandolin? Kept waiting for Belushi to appear!

Quite cool for such a simple video shoot! Not sure I would add it to my playlist, but interesting nonetheless.

    I thought it was great!!

Was that last tag a Mozart quartet or symphony? I thought symphony, but I could definitely be wrong.

It's Eine Kleine Nachtmusik, K. 525, which can be played either as a quartet or a string orchestra work.
