I just start over w/warmups, those tunes/arpeggios whatever I can rip thru fast that always sound pretty good. If that doesn't work there's a couple instruments that i never have bad days on , piano and banjo
There's some books about practicing music, probably in your public library like https://www.amazon.com/Music-Practic.../dp/151221583X and others by Kenny Werner, Tom heany, Jon Harnum, Gerald Klickstein etc
Those books have phrases like "being present" and "being a musician rather than doing musician things" to explain it.
