I have one very similar on my Fullerton Gloucester. It's chrome, and I painted in the black that yours already has. I haven't noticed a tonal difference, but I figured on that. I do like the looks though.

yeah I bought it for looks,it doesn't have any paint,the black streaking must have occurred when it was made
