    Default The Slocan Ramblers

An 1hr 34min and 51sec very well spent watching this great performance by "The Slocan Ramblers"
Listen to the third song, its a wonderful instrumental called "Galilee"
I have their last couple of album releases and what I love about them is it sounds exactly like them. No studio tricks needed with these guys. What you hear on the album is what you get live...

    Enjoy,
    Dem

We saw them last weekend, a couple of nights after this video was recorded. Great show and even better people! My sons opened up for them and we got to hang with them before the show. Adrian Gross is an awesome mandolin player and plays a really nice Stiver. I got a video of them jamming and was thinking of posting in the "Stiver" thread that was posted fairly recently. If you like good bluegrass, go check these guys out!

These guys are fantastic, creative musicians. Look forward to seeing them again at Cowichan Valley Festival on Vancouver Island this summer.

Thanks for this. I hadn’t heard of these guys but I have really enjoyed watching this.

What’s the song around 0:27:00 about taking the wrong way home?

@Jeff_75 The song is The law and the lonesome. It's a cover from Jonathan Byrd.

I didn't know they were going to be at the Shelton "Bluegrass from the Forest" fest next month. Thanks for the heads up...hope to see fellow Cafe folks there. It'll be our first time to this festival.
