Default Martin luthier needed in Southern MD area

Hi, I have recently purchased a 1912 CF Martin sn 3433 and I need it looked at by a luthier. I live in the Southern MD area - any suggestions? It looks to have wear on the front under the strings and near the pick guard. It also has a crack - its closed on the front and I can't tell if it's through. It sounds very nice and I've order light gauge strings - it came with light gauge but they look old. There is a buzz on the b note (4th fret, 4th string) but all other notes ring clear. The bowl back looks intact and the neck is straight. I want to preserve and play this for years to come.

    Thank you,
    Terry

You need a luthier that is familiar with bowl back mandolins. I'm pretty sure they don't show up in the Martin repair manual. One of the resident bowlheads will be along with a suggestion.

He's in Frederick, not Southern MD, but Marc Glickman is highly recommended. It might be worth a day trip up here. Frederick is worth a visit while you're in the neighborhood. If you're not able to make the trip, Marc might be able to recommend someone closer to home.

And.......it would stand to reason that if we found someone who was "king" of such repairs....................they would be a

    MARTIN LUTHIER KING

(not original to me, something I remembered from one of the acoustic guitar forums.....)
