As Norman Blake would call it, "This is a ninteen thirty and five Gibson A-1 wide body mandolin." Now, to find a real case for it!

Are you trying to find an original case for that mandolin or just a decent one to carry it around?

Wyatt Wilkie, a luthier of some skill and renown, said he thought those were very cool and sounded great. I've been interested for the past several years since he told me that. Nice find!

Original. It currently has a modified mandolin case. Modified in that all the side padding of the case was removed around the body and felt laid in it's place. Actually fits pretty well, but I'd like to have an original.

Good luck, as most instruments outlast their cases. Why not buy another with a case and share it?
