I have an old Seth Thomas wooden pyramid that my parents gave me as a present when I first started taking music lessons as a child. It is dear to me, it reminds me of them and I will never get rid of it. And it still works just fine 50 years later.

When I was a music major in college back in the ‘70s the little red plastic compact Wittner metronomes were the thing! Everybody had them. They were ubiquitous and people liked them because they fit in their cases. But not me. I just kept my big old Seth Thomas in my music department locker and got it out when I needed it.

since phones have a gravity detector this might be an additional feature for those apps.
