Default 50 plus years old no name Mandolin can anyone help identify?

Received this Mandolin as a gift from a family member who says they received it as a gift over fifty years ago. They said put it a closet and that's when its been all this time. Could not find any markings or any identifying marks. Came with the original case.

That was made by the Regal Company of Chicago probably in the 1930s or 1940s. It is a budget mandolin but these sometimes sounds quite nice if set up well. I love the "upgrade" to mother-of-toilet-seat fretboard and headstock overlay.

Ah, so many discussions. I thought at some point this had been positively ID'd from a catalog page.

I'm actually torn on these. That tailpiece was common on Regal instruments. That marquetry binding was common on Harmony instruments. The entire package looks a whole lot like a Stromberg-Voisenet instrument. I thought there was a catalog page on these that had popped up but I can't find it.

If nothing else some of this design was labelled Supertone, in which case would have been sold by Sears. Since Sears Roebuck owned Harmony that maker would be likely. I see that headstock made by Regal. I have to dig out my Regal book and see if there are any of those shown there.

This design was built by Harmony.

A very nice gift. At any rate, a beautiful closet queen.
