"Can I have a little more talent in the monitors please?"
Hi Kevin...i should know the title but afraid I haven't heard this one previously. Definitely an Emory original though i'd guess with many of his signature stylistic traits. Striking melody lines, cross picking, rhythmic pulse. I know it just woke my left hand up when i grabbed my mando and figured out the melody Love his writing style. Great, kind and informative instructor, Emory Lester. Great piece enjoy!
I think it is “Going Across the Sea,” from his At Dusk CD
Nah...first tune Emory taught me was going across the sea...
It's "Forever True," one of his older original compositions. So says the composer.

Thank you administrator!......it is indeed 'Forever True', which is a song I wrote back in 1993, and has been recorded on my old 'Emory Lester Set' album, and another version of it on an album I did with Mark Johnson called 'Acoustic Vision' back in 2009.....thank you guys for calling attention to this one.....
I knew I had heard that song but could not place it. I have the CD with Mark Johnson, terrific CD by the way.
A beautiful tune.
