What would be appropriate string diameters for a 20" scale OM? Also, has anyone used Newtone strings on their shorter scale OM and how did you like them?

I use .014/.022w/.036w/.048w Newtone on my Octave, think they’re a great set of strings. But I don’t think its a standard set for them so it may take a few days for them to make you a set.

I use the D’Addario J72 light mandola set on mine. .014/.023w/.034w/.049w. Works very well for me.

I think Weber recommends John Pearse 2265 which range from 14-48 for a 20 inch scale octave. The strings are listed as Octave Mandola strings which is the European term for Octave mandolin.
