    Default Off brand mandolin identification

Okay, for the last couple years, thought the mandolin player in the Finnish band Nytky had a Gibson A50. But a closer look makes me realize, no, it's actually a Gibson copy. The logo is different. So that made me wonder, what is it? Logo doesn't match Framus or Levin. Maybe another European builder? Or from Japan? No clue on my part.

So, anyone have an idea? Looks decently made, whatever it is. Thanks in advance.

They were made in Japan and imported into the US under the Penco label and perhaps others. They could have been imported into other countries as well. The one below was sold at Guitar Center a while back. They were Gibsonesque by design. I believe they were all in the 70's but don't know that for sure.
