So, I've picked back up my mandolins in the last few weeks and am brushing up on fiddle tunes and have decided to work through John Goodin's transcriptions of G.P. Telemann's "Sept fois sept et un menuet"
There's tons of pieces, so it allows me to work on sight reading as I learn the pieces and using both my mandolin and octave mandolin.
I know it's a shame such nice instruments are in my untalented hands, but even over the course of 2 weeks brushing up on the octave I'm getting better sound out of it.
Anyhow, here is a WIP of Menuet 2 in A major which is only at 88 BPM. I would like to raise it to 96 or so in the next week while I'm starting to learn Menuet 3.
My current challenges are buzzing on the octave, not getting the resonance out of it that I think I could, volume problems on both instruments and then my timing isn't perfect... any feedback appreciated.

Once I get this more up to speed I'll possibly post a video of it so I can get some pointers on my play when you can see my hands, in case anyone is bored enough to actually watch or listen.
Cheers!
