Look into Schertler Dyn-M. They’re a bit pricey but they are a contact P/U that is not permanently attached to the instrument—so when MAS strikes, you just put it on your next true love! The sound is really great. There is a bit of fussing around involved with putting it on at the beginning of the show and taking it off at the end, but you get used to it.

Is anyone using the Fishman M300 with a tonedexter? This would seem to have the best feedback resistance with the added benefit of your mandolin's miced sound.

Not used the tonedexter, but I am using the M300 and it is by far my favorite pickup for mandolin. Very natural sound, hot output, and strong signal to feedback. It's a pricey option, but was worth every bit when I toured last summer.
