    Again, a lovely instrument, Jo. The YouTube video is interesting, especially the quill-like device you use for plucking the strings.

    I assume the original would have been carved from a single piece of wood. Nice work.

    The quill as a pick came from the Muslim world John, a lot of Oud players still use a long "Risha" pick.
