A 30's F-4 it is.
It's up on reverb for $3200.

Top finish looks original. Photos are not clear enough to judge the originality of the back finish for certain, but the color is correct for the period.

Tuners and pickguard are replacements. I'm not sure about the originality of the bridge, it might be from a later period, but I can't say for sure.

Note the crack at the tail pin.
Some of these late F-4's were quite good, a bit more bass and midrange than many 'teens models.

he's asking a lot more for it on reverb. i am not buying that sort of thing right now, but if it went for around three grand canadian it would probably be a great mandolin and a great buy for someone.

The later 30's F-4's are a whole lot rarer than the teens and 20's, they usually all are really good sounding in my opinion, most were custom ordered so you see some with flowerpot, fern peg head inlays, some with F-7 style boards, even elevated boards off the top instead of glued flush.
