    Question Nash the Slash, anybody?

I discovered Canadian Prog Rock band "FM" the other day, and have been somewhat obsessively researching EVERYTHING released by their former electric mandolinist, Nash the Slash.
He's just so weird that I wanna be like him when I grow up.
Wearing full-head bandages almost every show, though, is a level of commitment I don't know that I have...

I'd love to figure out who made his mandolins, though. I've seen 2 distinct models on the handful youtube videos I've found of him performing, or on the cover of a solo album, but can't figure out the make of either.

    What pedals did he use?
    So many questions!

    Penny for yer thoughts?

I was working in FM radio when FM hit the scene in the seventies. They made a huge splash as they were one of the first bands to really take the new synthesizers to the next level. Being backed by CBC didn't hurt either. Nash obviously made a big impression on G&R's Slash who copped his name and trade-mark top hat.

I have original vinyl of their Black Noise album but it doesn't go into any detail other than stating he plays electric violins, mandolin, glockenspiel and vocal effects.

In this concert video he's playing an Epiphone Mandobird:

In this version he's playing a 2-point solid-body but unsure of what make it is:

I might have even seen them live, but can't remember that far back.

That isn't Nash. It's Claudio Vena.

That's Nash. He owned a Gibson EM-200 and 4 mandolins by Toronto luthier Vladimir Bosnar; that's probably one of the Bosnars.
