Default Ofer Ben-Amots, Sierra Hull and Mandolin with Orchestra in PNW

Ofer Ben-Amots is an israeli-American composer living in Colorado, whose work evidently draws on the klezmer and bluegrass traditions.

Sierra Hull will perform three of his compositions with orchestras in two upcoming concerts in the Pacific Northwest.

First, in Portland on Mar. 31 with the Portland Chamber Orchestra, she'll play in his Concertino for Clarinet & Mandolin, along with something called "Intermezzo: Klezmer Meets Bluegrass":

Then in Walla Walla on Apr. 9, it's the Concertino again, along with Ben-Amots' "Bluegrass Suite," with the Walla Walla Symphony:

Sadly, I don't expect I can make it to either of these concerts but I'm very intrigued.
