I believe this mando has potential. Birch back and sides and I believe a spruce top, not carved though. It's pretty clean and straight but has top cracks. I can try to repair the top cracks, but I'd probably need to remove the back plate to do a good job. Or, since it's only a Harmony, I could use it as my first carved spruce top project (I have an Englemann spruce top waiting for something). I know I'd have to keep the mandolin because I'd never get my moneys worth out of it. I probably couldn't do that by only fixing the top cracks either. But I do like the mandolin.
