Default Any way to ascertain production numbers of Gibson Cello bows?

So, I've had for many years in my possession a Gibson cello bow, which seems to be in pretty good shape minus the lack of hair. After a bit of poking around, I noticed an estimate here on the Cafe forums that around 40 cellos were ever made by Gibson in the 30's and 40's.

My question is: how well does Gibson keep records of those days? I'd really like to figure out just how rare this bow is, if for nothing more than the cool factor.

I believe that Gibson only made violin family instruments for a few years in the 1940s. I have a violin but it is really nothing to sneeze at (or on). Sort of built on the heavy side, like a mandolin. I didn't know they made bows but I would guess that those were farmed out and then stamped with their name to go with an instrument, maybe in a set. Violin people would not get too excited but those collectors among us fretted instrument players might for the rarity. So, yes, cool, factor among the cognoscenti.
