    I clocked him doing sustained 16ths at 168bpm. I clocked Rafael Mendez (from a 1961 performance) at about the same tempo, maybe just a hair faster. I think they play notes at the limits of our ability to hear like retina screens surpass the limits of our eyeballs. :-)

    Love that old virtuoso stuff, grew up on it.

    That Stiver sounds to my ears like it captures everything a Loar F5 was meant to do when Mr. Loar made the design parameters for the F5

    I remember this guy, seems like he was a kid just a few years ago and he did demos for some shop, always amazing demos!
    Had not saw anything from him for a long while.

    Just wonderful to listen to, and amazing to watch.
