    Default Almuse humbucker wiring options?

I've got a Mandobird VIII and an Almuse MB8HC 4-wire humbucker ready to install and would like to ask about wiring options.

    1 - Series
    2 - Parallel
    3 - Series/Parallel with a push/pull pot
    4 - Series/Single Coil with a push/pull pot
    5 - Parallel/Single Coil with a push/pull pot
    6 - Series/Parallel/Single Coil with 2 push/pull pots

I imagine some options are more useful, and others may just be of no value.
    Any input would be appreciated.

I would go for series parallel. Single coil. I would probably try in out of phase too. You can get all those options with push pull pots this is what I have on my Mandolin or rather my daughters electric ukulele (she claimed it) https://guitarelectronics.com/1-humb...oil-tap-south/
I used an on on on double pole double throw switch for parallel series and single on my five string. In all honesty I think a push pull for phase might be more useful than single for my taste.
I suppose it depends on what you are going to play on it. Are you looking for clean tone, bluesy crunch? It might be worth trying different options to see what works for you. If you are happy to soldering there’s no reason you can’t try many options.

Here is what I use. 3 way on/on/on switch gives you singlecoil/humbucker/out of phase.Click image for larger version.

FWIW, I went with series/parallel. So far it’s working out just fine.

That's a useful combo and simple enough.
