Default Vintage Geib case too short!

Well, I have here what certainly looks like a vintage Geib case for a Gibson A, and I also have a 1911 A4. Surprise! The A4 doesn't fit the case -- it's too long by maybe an inch.

Silly me, I thought all these old Geib cases were the same size. Maybe later I'll get out my snakehead along with its case and compare them. Anyone else ever run into this?

Yep, it's 25 inches long on the inside (Gibson cases are 26) and the snakehead doesn't fit in there either. But the Martin A Style does!

Now i wonder if a L&H Style C would fit. I own one but it isn't handy at the moment. Maybe I'll try the Bacon Amateur in it.

Wouldn't a mando-banjo case be more than 11" wide in the body compartment?
