if you hear of one in the A style for sale-or know of any of the shops you frequent that have one, please let me know.

Be prepared to pay around $900 for one. Also, there’s no storage other than a small compartment under the neck support, and the fit is so tight I am not comfortable leaving a strap on the mandolin. While they are nice a Calton is probably more functional and cheaper.

I use mine with a Small Dog cover that I’ve had for probably 20 years. Braided Little Satchel strap tucks in just fine. Headstock tuner and picks in the case pocket. Strings, wire snips, winder, etc in Small Dog pocket. Not sure why there are two photos........

A while back i took delivery of a MT with a torrefied sitka top. I really like this mandolin, more than probably any mandolin i've owned, and i've had some very nice well playing mandolins. Here's a recent video of an MT with a torrefied top at elderlys, this is very reminiscent of how mine sounds as well. It has a little more of everything that drew me to englemann.

I went and played the “wall” at Elderly and this particular mandolin was outstanding.

You are not making this any easier, lol.

First the video, and then your report!

I will forgive you on the basis of your Caddyshack reference and Rushmore picture. Two fine movies for sure.

I've got an MT2 with Italian spruce and love the sweetness of tone, but on the other hand it can bark pretty good on a bluegrass chop. I don't know what the torrification process would do for Italian spruce. Maybe nothing but it would be interesting to know.
