2018 Kimble 2 point (#259), Eastman MD315, Eastman MDA315, some guitars, banjos, and fiddles
I was noticing them too...
No idea how much the different wood will affect the tone. If it's TMS I would be tempted to try to get them to do a demo over the phone. Or ask for a side-by-side vid of the two for comparison.
Davey Stuart tenor guitar (based on his 18" mandola design).
Eastman MD-604SB with Grover 309 tuners.
Eastwood 4 string electric mandostang, 2x Airline e-mandola (4-string) one strung as an e-OM.
DSP's: Helix HX Stomp, various Zooms.
Amps: THR-10, Sony XB-20.
I've never been a fan of the ivory style finish.
I have been wondering about this too! I think this is a knockout looking mando, I've been waiting to hear it since it was announced!
Ain't it grand you can buy the finish you like? I've loved ivory since I first laid eyes on an old A3. In fact my least favorite finish is a dark sunburst. Not that I wouldn't buy one in a heartbeat. I bought my 65 Epiphone Texan guitar with a sunburst I thought was hideous. It's grown on me.
Now if I could have a Goldrush, I'd be very happy.
Silverangel A
Arches F style kit
1913 Gibson A-1
love the color scheme on the old A3, ivory face reddish burgundy back and sides. When I can afford a custom GBOM build I intend to ask for that scheme
2012 Weber Bitterroot F5.
Every Eastman has a delay with production! haha
I sold a few of the blond 915 models back pre 2012 (when they dropped blond as a finish option. I would assume the latest ones are nicer.
I don't know how many have been made, but I can tell you that Eastman does not have any at the moment.
