    Default Northfield F5 4.0

Was wondering if any of you out there have acquired one of the new generation of Northfield F5 mandolins dubbed the 4.0. I've seen them listed on their website for awhile, but have not heard much about actual "hands-on" experience with one. Anybody out there own one? Thanks!

Is this the mandolin equivalent to vapor ware? Coming to market but not quite there?

    Sure is a purdy mandolin.

Completing the first batch now. Have made a handful and have been road testing... one has been with Mike Marshall since August. Lots of sound clips and videos around. All the stuff with Mike and Darol with Vasen on our site and other tunes in our Summit App. I’ll be showing a brand new one around at the NAMM show, but not in a booth. If your in LA and interested look me up. The first few will be made available very soon. Keep in touch. Thanks, Adrian

What I love about the Cafe. Info straight from those who know.

    What price point?

I’ve played the one that Mike Marshall has and it is spectacular in every way, very responsive, tons of tone color, sweet yet powerful, and tons of headroom. The Northfield guys really nailed it with this one.
