Uhhhhh, I think it might be over priced.
Very odd choice of decoration.

Interesting "scroll" as well. Like the Gibson A-12 lump-scroll.
Looks like they are made in Indonesia.

If you change the tuners from worm over to worm under (the way for which the holes were drilled) you could even try to tune it!
Probably, the "go to" mandolin for a Heavy Metal Bluegrass Band. I can imagine Bat Out of Hell being in the repertoire for a band with someone toting this creation.
That "thing" hurts my eyes.
This is the Mandolin to play the "Stonehenge" song from This is Spinal Tap. Haha!
A friend who knows more than I about musical instruments tells me that the "artwork suggests Cambodia." I don't know, but it's clearly from southeast Asia.
Robert Johnson's mother, describing blues musicians:
"I never did have no trouble with him until he got big enough to be round with bigger boys and off from home. Then he used to follow all these harp blowers, mandoleen (sic) and guitar players."
Lomax, Alan, The Land where The Blues Began, NY: Pantheon, 1993, p.14.
That mandolin is particularly strange. Some of their guitars are over the top but others are nicely done. I suppose it depends on the the artisan chosen to build or to decorate the instrument.
More info about the concepts and execution here.

Laser printed and Indonesian made via a Canadian company owner .All those guitars and Mandollins are gawdy looking and over priced I wouldn稚 touch any of those.
This is so demonic and gaudy (not to mention cheap looking) that even Ira Louvin wouldn't have used on the 'Satan Is Real' album cover . . .
I'll pass.
Gibson could have used the same fake scroll effect on their "lumpy" mandolins.
Old Hometown, Cabin Fever String Band
The description states they can custom build as you wish.
I want one with Carl Sagan shooting hoops with Galileo, with the moon as the ball.

About two or three years ago for the satan is real guitar. . Often Martin would place an image on a bottom line guitar. DX whatever. Sometimes better guitars They put a picture of cf Martin on one, cowboys on another, a drawing of the hms dreadnought, etc. most were pretty tacky imho. The dreadnought was kinda cool.
There made enough of them that our local GC had a couple.

The Satan Is Real guitar was mentioned on the Forum back in August 2014 after our return from the Nashville NAMM Show where it made its first appearance. Martin made 50, all sold out/spoken for the first day of the show.

The Satan Is Real versions are D-28's with an original list price of $4,666! There's one on Reverb right now for $2695 (NFI)
For some reason I first saw a pic of one online maybe a year or two ago and still can't decide if I love it or hate it despite how utterly tacky I indeed find it.

The artwork reminds me of the old Dungeons & Dragons manuals. Not gonna lie, I'd play it.
I wouldn't buy it, but I'd play it.
