+1 for Mark’s link. Also, www.mandozine.com has lots of tabbed out tunes. Www.taborgrass.com has simple versions of about 20 fiddle tunes plus other, beginner oriented material, not all mando. Bluegrass oriented.

Leave the mandolin out where you're going to play it. If it's easily accessible, your more likely to pick it up and play it. Our cases are in a closet and get pulled out if we're leaving the house with instruments, and put back when we get back.

Now you find out that your current and old friends don't care to talk about mandolins. You also notice that you and many of your new friends find yourselves decked out in formal attire such as the Mike Compton Tuxedo. A fine look with a mandolin but still not a chick magnet.
