Default Not *that* kind of mandolin!

Many of you here have gotten copies of my free ebook on how to set up a mandolin. This Christmas season I've gotten plenty of requests from people who received a new mandolin under their tree. I just had to pass along this request, which I received this morning:

"Hi Rob! I received a mandolin slicer for Christmas. It is an Elyx V-blade slicer. I would love to get your ebook if possible! Thanks so much!"

I've heard of mandolins being mistaken for ukuleles, but this is a whole new level of mistaken identity.

I hope Santa gifted you well this year, and Happy New Year to everyone!

So I should not have been using my mandolin to julienne potatoes?

With some mandolins before they are setup that is about all they are good for.

Looking out for a post on the Cafe from Him/Her. Variety is clearly the "slice of life"!

In order to not embarrass her I snipped her name and email address. I did send her the ebook with a humorous note. 😇
