Help identifying a Wegen

Can anyone help me identify this Wegen? It looks like a BN120 but appears to be thicker than 1.2mm. I tried to include a side by side photo with a Primetone 1.3 for thickness comparison. This came in the Traveling Pick Sampler.

It looks to be a 1.5 or perhaps 1.4 but it is really thick.

I use those in a thinner version, it's an M prefex. Mine are M100. Go to their site and look to see what's available in the M series picks.

No expert here except for buying several lately, and many of Wegen's designs seem to come in a choice of 1.2 or 1.4.

And having measured some o/t-Wegen picks in the past, I've seen variances whereby two picks stamped 1.5, but probably produced a year or two apart, measured closer to 1.4 and 1.6, an obvious difference of feel in the hand. No reason to think that Wegens would vary that much, except that ... ya never know!

I agree with others that it's an M150. The grip holes likely make it a custom order.

i have a couple of those i ordered a few years ago in 1.0, 1.2, and 1.5 as i had no idea what i would prefer. I also ordered the same thicknesses in the black material version that wegen sales. i quickly found out i prefer the 1.5 in the white material. To my ears, the black has a different tone slightly, don't know how to easily describe it, its just different.

as Ed mentioned above, the thicknesses vary a little from what may be labeled on the bag. The 1.0 can be .94 to 1.1, i found the 1.5 to be more close to 1.5-never over, sometimes slightly under. I also have some with the holes and some solid. The holes supposed to help you hold it better, but it doesn't do anything for me. I like the solid as much as the hole versions. Thats just me.

I have had some high end picks(blue chips and others), and although they were all good, i keep coming back to my 1.5 wegen M model. a cool thing i guess you've noticed, all 3 sides have the bevel.

one last thing i noticed in all these wegens i purchased. you can have a couple of the same thickness, and no two will sound exactly the same. I would suggest buying a 3 pack of the thickness you like, that way you can see what works best for you.

I was looking just yesterday at elderlys as i'm going to order some of the 2.0, and a few more 1.5 in the white material. I like that Dipper style also, kind of gives you 3 different points, or at least 2, and i'd like to try the 1.8 thickness-that might be perfect.
Here are 3 places that carry different thickness of the mandolin model wegen(best way to find out for sure is measure the thickness with a micrometer or vernier caliper-if you dont own one, take it to a good auto parts store, they should have a vernier caliper and would measure the thickness for you.
If you order from elderly, call the order in. For things like picks, they usually give you a drastic cut in shipping because they know it doesn't cost much to ship them. If you order online, you have to pay the higher shipping(heads up).

That's one of the hand, reshaped Wegens that you use to be able to get from Greg Boyd. They have disappeared from the web site, but maybe you can get them by calling.
