    Default Woodworking Supply Store—Houston, TX

I’m going to be in Houston tomorrow (Saturday/Sunday) and I need to track down some alcohol soluble aniline dye or transtint (or any other brown dye that will tint shellac). I’m not from the area. Does anyone know of a specialty woodworking supplier that would have that? I figure Houston is big enough that it probably has some specialty stores with niche stuff.

There are two Woodcraft stores in the Houston area. Google Woodcraft and enter 77077 to locate them.

Also look for Rockler. They have at least one store in Houston.

There is at least one Houston retailer that stocks Mohawk Finishing Products: Epic Paints. I had to get supplies while doing a job there last month.

Thanks, everyone! There was a Woodcraft nearby, and they had some of the Transtint.
