Mandolin Orchestra of Kansas City rehearsals start January 15th

MOOKC marks the start of our second year in operation. Rehearsals for our spring concerts start on January 15th, 2019.

We have two performances scheduled, Saturday March 2nd, 2019 at 7pm and Saturday May 4th, 2019 at 7pm. Both concerts are at Keystone Church in Waldo, 406 W 74th St, Kansas City, MO 64114.

Mandolin, Mandola, Mando-cello, Mando-bass, upright bass and acoustic guitar are all welcome. We rehearse at the Center for Spiritual Living, 1014 W 39th St, Kansas City, MO 64111 on Tuesday evenings, 7pm to 9pm. Drop in to check us out!

Our repertoire is diverse. Listen to the selections from our last concert on facebook and youtube. In addition to 17th century music and the required polkas, we are playing music that is new to the Mandolin Orchestra repertoire, such as this set of four Leo Kottke pieces that were arranged, with permission, specifically for MOOKC.
