    Default Ornamentations in a Jig

I've reached a stage in my playing where I'm starting to put in ornamentation and simple variations, and trying to do so on the fly. It doesn't always come off but a great learning tool is to video myself and then watch back critically to see what worked and what didn't. I've annotated this video, with the good and the bad picked out, and thought it might be of some interest to others going through this journey. This is Connaught Man's Rambles. First time through is the simple melody with no ornamentation and then twice through with double stops, triplets and some simple variations.

Sounding nice - and your self-appraisal seems fairly accurate. I would say, though, that I am not a fan of the little variation at 1:05, not even the first time round - it deviates a little too far from the melody for my taste. But maybe that's just me...

Anyway, keep up the good work.
