Default Stu-Mac Golden Age A style tuner measurement

Thinking about swapping some tuners between mandolins and their catalog drawing doesn't give the measurements needed to see if the holes at the ends of the plates will be covered by the tips of the arrowheads.

i need to know how far the holes at the ends of the plate are from the posts. Can someone check this for me, please? Center to center would be preferred but not a must.

I'm sure someone will have a set to hand that can be measured but, to be clear, are you looking at the GA or the GA "Restoration" tuners?

If the former, please give my condolences to the mandolin due to receive them

Not the restoration style with the zig-zag plates. But the arrowhead "Golden Age A-style mandolin tuners" measurements are what i'm looking for.

Not to put too fine a point on it, but 800-848-2273, 9AM-6PM ET, M-F might be of assistance.

I have a set in the shop, if I can remember to measure when I get back out there I'll let you know the measurement.

OK, I got 4 measurements, none exact and perhaps not even very precise, but hopefully good enough. I'll call the end of the plate closest to the end of the peghead the top and the end closest to the nut the bottom.

Center of top post to center of top mounting screw = 21/32"
Center of top post to top end of plate = 7/8"
Center of bottom post to center of bottom mounting screw = 7/16"
Center of bottom post to bottom end of plate = 21/32"

Now that I think of it, I didn't double check those measurements so they are subject to error.

John - i can't thank you enough for your help with this. It's great news if your numbers are right. Say, if you have a nice unplated "Hamlett" tailpiece you'd like to sell, i'd love to buy it. The 'hood hasn't been the same without you and your shop.
