Thread: Gibson 1932 C-1

    Question Gibson 1932 C-1

Would anyone happen to know the whereabouts of this Gibson C-1? I used to own it years ago. It had one brass fret. And I think on the neck block inside there is a 1? I owned back in 1975 till around 2002? I then traded it to a Music Store called Buffalo Bros.
I found this picture while searching the Mandolin Cafe post, this is from a post in 2006 and I'm certain that's the one with the brass fret. Click image for larger version.

I do believe the one brass fret is the 5th fret. And I remember what looked like a small crack on the side of the fret board at the 5th fret area.

And here's a pic of me with the mandolin in 1975.Click image for larger version.

Was that Buffalo Bros. in Carlsbad, CA?

The mandolin also had the original Geib case.
