Baltimore Mandolin Orchestra concert on Maryland's Eastern Shore

The Baltimore Mandolin Orchestra, under the direction of Dr. Kristin Turner, is delighted to be returning to the historic and fabulous Avalon Theatre in Easton. Our concert program will include light classical pieces as well as a march by the orchestra’s founder, a couple of rags, a show tune, an O’Carolan planxty and other traditional and contemporary mandolin compositions – even a whimsical arrangement of “The Teddy Bears’ Picnic” by Mandolin Cafe regular Andy Boden. Among the highlights will be vocal selections by Italian-born soprano Beatrice Gilbert, a performance by the very talented teenage graduates of Baltimore’s Mando for Kids program (classical mandolin instruction) and a trio piece by The Kirby Boys featuring triangle virtuoso Prof. Ichabod Isosceles(!). Come see Baltimore’s other orchestra!
