Thanks for that. I've actually had Lefty in rotation lately, and my mouth has been watering to try some arrangements. The tricky thing is that I consider Lefty to be a uniquely unmatched vocalist. He does some smooth things with that voice of his, and any cover will not measure up in any way. On the other hand, I don't hear many people doing his stuff, so maybe it would be possible to make an arrangement that had some merit even though it would never measure up.

Lately I've been really intrigued with Always Late With Your Kisses and Watermelon Time In Georgia. All I have by Lefty right now is a 10 track album "1982 - Hall of Fame" CD.

I'd love to hear it, but it is $247. It is a 20 CD set with book though

Yeah, looks absolutely amazing, top notch, but nothing I can hope to afford any time soon.

Terry has a sophisticated appreciation of classic country. I’m not saying this based on any inside knowledge, but it is apparent from listening.

Willie Nelson did a pretty good job on this recording. Recommend it highly.

Yeah, it was the wrong approach to make that absolute, comparative statement. Probably what I mean is that any cover I could do personally would never measure up. What Willie did was wonderfully, purely Willie inspired by Lefty, and great stuff.

Also didn't mean to cast any aspersions on Levon.
