Default The Jethro Burns Lessons online

I don't think this resource has been mentioned here in awhile (could be wrong, but all I found was a post from 2011 when Jim Nikora announced the addition of Mike O'Connell's recordings to the archive, in this thread: https://www.mandolincafe.com/forum/t...-Burns-Tribute)

So, for others who may be interested yet unaware, there is a fairly large, downloadable resource of recordings from private lessons that Jethro gave to Jim and Mike, they're hosted on this page on Rob Coleman's site: https://robcoleman.com/jethro/index.html

The lessons consist only of mp3 files made from these student's recordings; there are no sheets of tab or notation to go with them. As Jim (or maybe Rob) has written at the top of the page, this may be the closest you'll ever get to taking private lessons from Jethro. The downloads are free of charge.

Nice to see this are still out there and available. YEARS ago when these first surfaced, I created CD covers with track listings for all the lessons. I just checked, and miracle of miracles, PDFs of the CD covers are also still hosted on the site. There is a ton of cool material here.
All my life I wanted to be somebody, now I realize I should have been more specific.

I saw your CD covers there, Rick, thanks for that.

I know these have been around a long while, but I only started studying mandolin about three years ago, so I was happy to find that resource and reasoned there may be many other latecomers here who may be unaware of them. Great stuff there.
