Just a quick update to say that we took it to Bernie Lehmann in Rochester, NY, and for a reasonable cost, he cleaned it up, repaired the fingerboard cracks, fixed the crack in the top, and restrung it. The only major adjustment was that he had to cut down the bridge a bit to account for a very slight bow in the neck. And he said that all those ribs are indeed genuine, and not faked. It's now stable and playable, and has a nice sound!
