    Very nice, Hany! Great tone and a lovely tune. I've just found a nice online score, so I may try to learn thus beautiful song as well.

    As promised, here is my own recording of this tune. The score I found is the original 1974 vocal/piano score, at:

    I suspect it's the same score that Hany used as his mandolin line is basically identical to mine -- most other online transcriptions appear to have quite different phrasing. Dalida's own (and rather grand) live TV version is also online (link) -- check out the mandolin section hidden in the dark alcove to her right. I hadn't realised that Dalida was Egyptian, which makes a nice connection to Hany.

    For my recording, I have used my Ceccherini bowlback. My guitar playing isn't as good as Hany's friend, so I have split the accompaniment between a tenor guitar rhythm and a mandocello bassline extracted from the piano score.
