I am more the post-partum type, I usually discover an instruments flaws after living with it for a while. I try to fix them as best I can, if I can't, I move on. And that what happens most of the time. I guess I am way too picky, or I need to buy better instruments.
I have one that I still love (the MD605) and have hopes for a second (the MD604 jury is still out).
I think that some of it is I don't like bright strings, and they all start with new strings, so too bright and twangy for a while.
