    Default Great band name!

I’m calling first dibs on this one...
“Slim Brisket and the Smokey Mountain Cookers”! Now that’s a seriously funny Bluegrass band name! I might have to steal it!.
“We only play music from the WSM (William Simpson Monroe) musical menu!”
    “Just ribbing you, folks”

Holy cow, I have a whole hatful of new stage jokes!!!!
I’ll go stand in my corner now...

This is from a really good grilling site folks, TVWBB.com
NFI, just cross referencing food with music!

Maybe not but, I bet it’s more “tasteful”.

Side note, the Weber smoker is known by its full initials as a WSM (Weber Smokey Mountain)
The grill folks don’t seem to get that particular part of the joke.

What about “Ally Pechia and the Hair Band?”
    That’s pretty out there.

Another great one was just before Hot Rize began - Charles and Pete were in a 4 man band called "The Rambling Drifters."
After intermission they came out as "The Drifting Ramblers."

I don’t think this is funny. Put your child on that bus and see how much you laugh.

Yeah, that’s a little “off” but, sometimes the envelope needs pushing.

I have always enjoyed Gid Tanner and the skillet lickers!

Some of my favorites from a local band:
    “The Rimfire Ramblers”
    “The Stumpjuice Mountain Boys”
    “The Raggedy @$$ Rangers”
    “The Bluegrass Holes”

The latter were generally used at square dances and often included elements of several bands and or pickers.
Just trying to get things back to a lighter tenor.

My apologies. I did not mean to cause offense.

For the record I didn't make it up. The band itself came up with it.

I wanted to put together an alt.country band and call it Colossal Possum. It never worked out for various reasons.

One of the best band names I’ve heard was from a
long defunct short lived local heavy metal band called The Large Mouth Bastards.
