It doesnt matter if you live in NYC or Montana, that is a $1000-$1200 mando in the US, using US currency.

Agreed, it would be fairly easily to sell in the US, BUT it is not in the US. The money it is potentially worth in the US might represent a windfall for the owner IF it can be taken to a proper marketplace to cash in. <Removed by Moderator>
Some members might remember when eBay first started many Russian sellers were digging camera equipment, guitars, watches, etc. out of the closets and putting them on eBay because stuff that was worth $10 in Russia was bringing $300 or $400 on eBay -- BUT THE CATCH WAS -- nobody in Russia had Paypal yet and they were asking buyers to send money orders to relatives in Coney Island, who would call them and then they would send the item. As you can imagine, there was a great deal of risk and uncertainty in doing business that way, but the rewards were staggering!(for both sides!) There still might be a learning curve experienced by some locations when trying to conduct international business.

Anyway, my point was simple -- that it may represent life-changing money to some people.
