I really like this. Fantastic singer, relaxed but steady bass and particularly the contrast between the timbres of the mandolin and the guitar playing in much the same register.

Also nice to hear an acoustic string band take on this Latin(?) or Bossa(?)or Hard Bop(?) or however this jazz classic might be classified. Horace Silver said the melody is based on something from Cape Verde - I'd love to hear the original.

I'd also love to hear what the Mudkatz sound like when you can actually spark off one another in real time and real proximity.

    Great stuff!

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NFjmWI-d6d4 -- Horace Silver from 1968. Pretty cool.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mLXA6izI91U M and the Katz at Moxi Theater, Greeley CO. A memorial for the guitar player's brother. It was darn hard to hear on stage at this one. Neat room, though. We occasionally play in Colorado or Southwest Florida.

    Thanks for listening.
